Using Herbs and Supplements
I hope you are enjoying these posts about the information in the book, Radical Remission. The next chapter that really helped me (and I hope helps you) is titled: Using Herbs and Supplements. I love the opening sentence. It sends a ray of sunshine to my soul. “The main difference between chemotherapy and vitamin or herbal supplements is that most chemotherapy is designed to kill cancer cells, while most supplements are designed to strengthen the immune system so that it can then remove cancer cells.” As long as the body, mind, spirit is in optimal condition, the body can fight off cancer. By creating an incredibly strong and healthy internal environment, cancer cells will not be able to thrive. A strong immune system can find and remove cancer cells from the body. To get rid of cancer, you must change the condition under which it thrives. The author continues, “Therefore, if you change the underlying condition of the body (what made the cancer to begin with – bacteria, virus, parasites, lack of oxygen, etc.), so those conditions become healthier, cancer cells will naturally die off.”
Note* There are side effects to chemotherapy, it can destroy your immune system, the very part of your body that it needs to heal sickness and disease. There are no harmful side effects with herbs and supplements.
The first step in creating this environment is to detoxify the body. I established earlier that cancer grows in acidic environments. It cannot grow in an alkaline environment. Getting your body to a healthy alkaline environment begins by cutting out all the foods that create a toxic acidic environment. All forms of processed SUGAR must go. Sugar is what is shot into your veins when they do a PET scan to see where the cancer is in your body. The sugar lights up cancer cells. It is their playground.
Red meats (I cut out all meets) are highly acidic and proven to cause arthritis and other joint issues, including cancer.
Processed Foods are an immune system sledge hammer.
Once you have detoxed your body (1 – 28 days), then add the appropriate herbs, supplements, and nutrients to heal your cells and create that healthy environment so the immune system can begin to work. It can take 1 to 6 months to build up your immune system by completely ridding your body of all that has been causing illness, depending on what shape your body is in when you begin to repair it.
Some of the herbs that are highly effective (among the hundreds) are green tea (has a component called ECGC that actively kills cancer cells). Others are mushrooms, turkey tail, high doses of vitamin C, turmeric spice, prebiotics and probiotics.
After much study I added the following to my diet: French grape seed extract, Curcumin, Essiac Tea (a combination of 8 different minerals), Green tea and Ginger root tea (I alternate), Charcoal (it acts as a magnet and unwanted toxins attach to it), and BarleyMax greens (filled with vitamins and minerals; almost the same nutrients as Wheat Grass), vitamin C and Frankincense oil. I was adding 25 mg of iodine supplements but that dose is too strong for my system. All of our systems are depleted of iodine, which creates healthy adrenals, thyroids, and reproductive organs, since it was removed from salt many years ago by the FDA.
All in all, since today’s fruits and vegetables are often not grown in nutrient rich soils, and chemicals are used to rapidly produce them for market, we are losing a large percentage of the healing properties (unless we buy organic, and even then we are missing some of the nutrients) the value of herbs and supplements cannot be overstated.
I started detoxing on Wednesday, August 12th. I began to notice subtle changes (of the eight non-cancer related issues) in my health within days such as improved energy. Fatigue was the first to leave and to date below are the other successes.
Two small lumps in left ear lobe – GONE
Allergies – GONE, mild sneezing at first when overhead fan turns on
Skin discoloration in cheeks – GONE
Sluggish and Fatigue – GONE. My energy is that of a young person. I nap in the afternoon as part of my healing regimen
Sleepless nights – GONE, sleeping 6 – 7 hours at a time by October 10th
Depression – mild – GONE
Leg and Foot cramps – GONE
Cataract in right – the blurs haven’t appeared for about two weeks to date. They were daily.
These successes let me know that my immune system is elevating and hopefully beginning to work on the cancer cells. BRAVO!!
