Your Intuition Will Never Steer You Wrong
Chapter #3 in Radical Remission is titled, Following Your Intuition. I think so many of us have lost touch with our own intuition. We listen to so many voices throughout a single day that we do not get quiet and just listen to what Spirit is telling us. Our intuition is our sixth sense. Some call it Holy Spirit, some call it God, some call it their inner voice, and some simply call it intuition. No matter the label, there is a part of us that knows us better than we know ourselves, and that part is given to us to guide and direct our steps. That is why we should always question what we are told and take it to Spirit to guide us. That is sometimes easier said than done, especially when fear may be attacking our mind.
One of the individuals in this chapter said, “Our body wants to be whole and knows how to be whole. But sometimes it needs to be reconnected to its innate knowledge. The body can heal very instantly; it’s our belief system that makes us think that it takes a long time to heal.”
I asked a question to a group of ladies several years ago, “Why aren’t people getting healed from God? A very lovely woman filled with a great deal of love quickly answered, “The reason God doesn’t heal today is because we have doctors now.” I must tell you that I fought to hold back my true thoughts. Doctors will never replace God’s ABILITY and DESIRE to heal us. It is this kind of belief system that prevents us from becoming whole. God / Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If he healed when he walked the earth, he heals today. his word tells us, By His stripes we are healed. Part of our salvation includes healing; in fact, one could argue that we aren’t really saved if we are not healed. It is either that or contemporary salvation messages are not completely correct. In truth, salvation means deliverance, and made whole. It does not mean dying and taking the train to Heaven with our boarding pass.
The gentleman in the book went further to say, “If the mind is allowed to quiet down, it will know what it needs to do in order to get well again.” I love this next statement and I tend to agree with it. “Cancer is actually only a messenger to say that something has gone negative, something is out of alignment. Find out what that something is, and you will note that the energetics of your own body will begin to correct that system.”
All of us have different changes that we need to make whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Something is out of whack and causing our illnesses. And, since we all have different issues to deal with, our journeys are also different, and we should not condemn or judge anyone else for the choices they make in their healing journey. Many individuals in “Radical Remission” utilized traditional treatment along with the other eight items I am outlining for you. Many used only some elements of traditional treatment, while others went cold turkey and used 100% alternative methods. That is what I love about this book. What is right for me may not be right for you. That is where intuition–our own spirit–must be our guide.
A woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer shares what she did when she was first diagnosed. She sat quietly with her cancer and then asked why it had come. She then asked what needs to be done for it to leave. Like me, she overall had a relatively healthy physical life. Spirit spoke to her that she had no joy in her life. She had big to-do lists but failed to include joy and neglected her emotional health. As I read every word of this woman’s story, I thought, this is me! I saw my face in her mirror and wept for quite a while asking Spirit to restore my joy and get my priorities back in order. After six months of doing some deep inner work and sticking to her holistic diet, this dear woman was cancer free and has remained free ever since.
Psalm 51:10-12 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.” Amplified version
We could all use a little more joy, amen?
Many blessings,
